I make the best mojitos

Yesterday was one of my best and wonderful friends hen do. I won a mojito making competition and because I drank my delicious mojitos, I am still suffering the consequences at 5.30pm.

Things that seem normal when you live alone

I tweeted this video last week, but I absolutely love it.

It’s been especially relevant today as I’ve been studying and singing along to Radio 1′s top 150 selling songs of the millenium, which included some classics like S Club 7′s Don’t Stop Moving and Wheatus’ Dirtbag. I felt like I was back in 2001, revising for my GCSE’s… except I’m now revising for career enhancing exams instead.

Food for thought

In September 2010 I joined Weight Watchers and by August 2011 I’d lost 4 stone and reached my goal weight of 12 and a half stone.

In the last few months I’ve lost an additional half a stone and I’m now half a stone under my goal weight which is great, but my new Slim Girl clothes don’t fit very well and Chub Club Leader Linda keeps telling me off.

So, after driving to Leeds this morning to sort my life out I visited Sainsbury’s and stocked up on delicious, tasty, healthy food! Tonight’s tea (whilst watching the nicest programme on the Telly, The Voice) was spinach tagliatelle and a tomato sauce.

The walk the dog took me on

I’m looking after my parents’ dog, Marley, this weekend, either as a practice run for my own dog (one day!) or to put myself off owning one.

He decided to take me on a walk around Slaithwaite reservoir. Thankfully, he chose an two hour window in which there was no rain.

He’s snoozing on the floor next to me. Hopefully he’s suitably worn out!
